The O&W Railroad Shanty

It’s small, but it’s important — and it’s going to live just outside the Sidney Historical Association’s offices on Main Street in Sidney. Soon we’ll have more info and photos of the New York, Ontario & Western railroad watchman’s shanty.

The Youngs Schoolhouse

Located just off Rt. 23 in Youngs, the Youngs Schoolhouse (as it’s now known) has had several names and several owners. It’s the oldest one-room schoolhouse in Delaware County. The Sidney Historical Association purchased the building in 2023 with the goal of refurbishing the building as a showcase and mini-museum.

More information will be coming when I have a chance to interview the right folks. For now, enjoy some photos:
